Spalding Cross Traxxion Official NBA Game Ball
$100.00
The Pros:Looks and feels like the real thing. Durable and resistant to wear. Heavier weight offers better control when thrown.
The Cons:Design is possibly too heavy for toddlers. Ships partially deflated, will need to be properly filled.
The start of the 2006 NBA season marks the debut of a new Spalding game ball. This new ball is made of a synthetic microfibre composite material in two "Cross Traxxion" panels instead of the traditional leather fashioned into eight separate panels.
Spalding worked closely with ex-players Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr to deliver a ball that they say has a better grip and feel, provides more consistent performance, and requires no break in period. However, the Cross Traxxion ball has come under a lot of scrutiny as many NBA players have expressed their concerns about the ball's poor performance.
