The 7x35s' huge field of view is due to two things, first: a lack of magnification ranges as binoculars with a range of magnifications typically sport reduced image quality and field of view as a result. Second: the the 7x35s sport a porro prism system which typically provides the best field of view over roof prism system binoculars (which are typically more durable). Their rubber armour coating both protects the 7x35s directly by making them somewhat more drop-resistant while also greatly increasing grip in wet and dry weather. Additionally, the 7x35s' BaK-4 glass prisms yield brighter images and greater clarity than other glass types.
